More Bueller….

July 31, 2009

Another Ferris Bueller shot…

We spent a lot of time running around the Chicago Art Museum

We couldn’t find a group of school children to pass off the Ferris Bueller bit where they were all hand in hand through the museum, but we did find this sculture outside….couldn’t drag it inside the Museum mind you.

Salad sweats…

July 30, 2009

Arriving in Springfield, we hit the bars for some food and several drinks. Me and Luke went for the safety of a nice healthy US burger.

Danny ventured for a salad. The first salad of america……would it be healthy?

Luke watches Danny tuck in…

I’m not convinced Danny will survive it…

I was right……it beat him….

Looks soooo healthy doesn’t it just…..

Outside was practically the only bad weather we had on Route 66 – just a flash storm though, tipped it down! – But only for about half an hour.

Danny had to go outside to cool down after the salad. He really did.

Happy 4th!

Independence Day. No aliens in sight, so we followed that rainbow to the king of chicken places. We tried some new seasoning chicken wings too.

Oh and got a photo while we were there to boot.

Dam Hot…

July 28, 2009

Bit of footage from the top of the hoover dam…

and a bit of banter from down the bottom too…

Hoover Dam…

July 27, 2009

Yeh, so the hoover dam was hoooooooot.

Yeh you can tell it was hot by the looks on our face. And again, as soon as the pic was taken we whipped our hands off the stupidly hot wall and danced around screaming.

Oh yeah, while in Santa Fe we met some hippy chick, and also this indian bloke who was a bit reluctant to have his photo taken when we went past him, he was on the way somewhere, but he eventually agreed.

Later we found out he was actually a proper indian. Probably explains why he wouldn’t look at the camera, since it would steal his soul.

Chilling in Santa Fe

July 25, 2009

After having a Denny’s breakfast, (probably the most greasy food i’ve eaten) in the dodgy part of Santa Fe. Ok it wasn’t that dodgy but there were 3 bullet holes in the window of Denny’s. Some rude boy obviously thought Denny’s was over greasy too.

…err where was I…Oh yeah, we spent a rare 2 days in one place known as Santa fe, and we went down to the old town part to take in the sights. Hot as usual.

You wouldn’t believe how hot that damn mule was to lean on. It was made from metal! – sizzle.

Our names are Earl…

July 24, 2009

Holbrook. Up until then, every hotel had been spot on. Then we hit my name is Earlville…

I’ll be half an hour…

July 23, 2009

Yeah, so Luke did say he’d be half an hour at this point, and here’s what he spent his 5 hours of Venice beach on…3 inca thingies and and re-working of an old tattoo band.

Bloody marvellous.

Day after vegas…

Luckily a witch doctor brought as back to life, so we could continue this blog. Handy.
